Is medicine God sent??

Well, I'm starting out my post with a slightly controversial topic, but maybe it will get the juices flowing. All of my future post will be a representation of my current understanding, hopefully getting me closer to reality. But feel free to contribute your beliefs and correct me if need be, and maybe it will help to get me closer to the Truth.

Q:Is medicine a gift/blessing given to us from God?
A:? I believe that our biggest mistake is assuming that Jesus is some sort of ominous unique being that we can never duplicate ourselves. Why we feel the need to use drugs to heal when Jesus did not is beyond me. Everyone says that God gave us the knowledge to heal with drugs so it would be a sin to not use it. If it is such a blessing, then why didn't Jesus prescribe drugs to heal? You would think out of all people, Jesus would have known the knowledge of current day medicine. Have we moved so far away from the Truth and reality that even the strong thinkers can't make sense of it? Jesus speaks the Truth so clearly and we seem to be ignoring what he spent his life demonstrating and trying to teach us. What a waste!! And here we are fooled into thinking that we are on the right track. What Would Jesus Do? I know he wouldn't prescribe a pill to a sick person. I challenge you to find the Truth.
